I’ve always been driven to do work that has a purpose.
This calling coupled with what I accepted to be the traditional norms around having a career and being successful led me to spend 8 years serving in non-profits and other mission driven organizations.
Down the line, I found myself at a place where the demands of my job had me working non-stop. My mind was constantly racing with a never-ending to-do list while my body felt tense all the time. I was spending the day sitting in front of a computer screen (which I despised) and cramming in as much as I could possibly get done (so not me). Afterwards, I’d feel completely depleted, and would numb out on more screen time, whatever food was convenient, and my fair share of wine.
I was just going through the motions of my day-to-day. Not only did I feel overwhelmed by and stuck in my current situation, I also felt so disconnected from myself and the people I was working to support both through my work and at home. I knew that things needed to change, and made a commitment to be intentional about how I was going to spend my time from there on out.
I made the decision to leave my job because I realized it was no longer serving me. I was teaching yoga actively at the time. As 500 Hour Certified Yoga Teacher, I sought to share the physical, mental and emotional benefits of yoga that I had and continued to experience first hand with my students.
I knew I wanted to go even further with supporting others in cultivating greater health and happiness off the mat.
I earned my Holistic Health Coach Certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and launched by own business working one-on-one with clients towards achieving their wellness goals. Which brings us here..
The conscious shifts I’ve made to nourish myself with healthy food, consistent physical active, meaningful work, adequate sleep and other self-care practices give me the energy to spend more time doing what I love. Making huge life changes isn’t easy. It’s actually terrifying at times. I’ve faced challenges, fear and self-doubt over and over again in the process.
But I can say from my own experiences, you grow by getting out of your comfort zone. Making choices to live in greater alignment with who you are, your values, and your purpose brings you more joy and more freedom. We often should ourselves with what we’re supposed to be doing, and allow our fear to hold us back from on own progress and growth.
I’m here to empower you live life on your terms and to create your own vision of what it means to be happy, healthy and fulfilled.
